These are trying times for us all. The uncertainty of what is to come, whether everyone will make it out of this safely, and what businesses will be left is unknown.
First and foremost, we hope you are staying safe and healthy and getting to spend quality time with loved ones.
At the Seaport, we are all working from home with the exception of the Lady Washington crew. The crew had already lived onboard together for months through winter maintenance, and it was decided it was safer to keep them quarantined together. Many of them didn’t have anywhere to go until their next contract. They are working hard on maintenance, playing board games, and staying safe.
We are hopeful that we are going to receive the economic injury loan that we applied for. We also applied for the Payroll Protection loan, which provides eight weeks of payroll and utilities. If we keep a bulk of our employees, the loan will be forgiven. We have also turned to you, our core support, for help until we hear back about the loans.
“Thank you for taking such great care of us and the ship we all love.”
– Crew of the Lady Washington
What will make this situation more challenging for us is that we have to go into a Coast Guard required haul out in June. With so many unknowns, we are grateful to you for keeping us going, and we ask for your continued support so we can sail once this virus is over.
