Our Home Port

Aberdeen, Washington, the home port of Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain.

The city of Aberdeen, Wash., along with sister cities Hoquiam and Cosmopolis, form the economic hub of Grays Harbor County, located on the central Pacific coast of Washington State. Approximately half the county's population live in the contiguous cities. Timber, lumber, fisheries, shipbuilding, agriculture, and corrections services provide the largest number of jobs in the Aberdeen area. Hoquiam is also the home of a large biodiesel refinery.

Visitors to the Aberdeen area find a wealth of recreational opportunities in local heritage sites and tours, salmon fishing, bird watching, hiking, and beach getaways. Annual festivals celebrating the cranberry harvest, the region's timber and lumber history, the migration of shorebirds, and Aberdeen's most famous musician, Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, fill the calendar. For more information on visiting Grays Harbor, visit the Grays Harbor Tourism website.
