Give the Gift of the Sea
For as little as $10, you can sponsor a child’s experience aboard the Lady Washington or Hawaiian Chieftain, broadening her horizons and showing her the ocean environment as she’s never seen it before. Our educational programs are quality, hands-on outdoor experiences that teach self-reliance, respect for the environment, and teamwork. You can enrich the lives of students in your community today by giving a scholarship gift.

Send a Class Aboard ($312-$360)
For a donation of $275, you can send an entire class aboard Lady Washington or Hawaiian Chieftain for a one-hour Voyage of Explorers: Nations Connecting Through Trade dockside education program, in which the captain and crew will teach them about life on the high seas in the 18th century.*
Send the Whole Class Sailing ($1,365-$1,575)
For a donation of $1,200, you can sponsor an entire class to set sail on a three-hour Voyage of Explorers: Nations Connecting Through Trade sailing education program. Students learn about maritime history from the crew, set the sails themselves, and often spot marine life on this unforgettable adventure.*
Sponsorships are available for students and teachers only; chaperones will not be sponsored. All sponsors receive a thank-you letter from GHHSA and acknowledgement of their donation on our website and in our annual report in the fiscal year following their donation. Class sponsors may receive thank-you letters from the students as well. Class Sponsors may designate a port where they would prefer their donation used. GHHSA will make every effort to comply with such a request, thought this cannot be guaranteed. Individual sponsors will not be able to designate a specific port.
*Ten percent of donations support administrative costs of the program.
